The first basketball championship

It begins with the participation of 10 teams and the matches: Olympiacos - Triton 43-40, Panathinaikos - Panhellinios 67-56, and AEK - Sporting 66-64. First place is shared equally by AEK and Iraklis with 31 points. In the determining game, AEK is declared the Champion.  In 1924, HAN Athens organizes for the first time a type of... Championship. AEK wins it. Thus, she is considered the first Champion of Athens. Later, SEGAS supervises basketball.  It organizes a different type of... Championship, in the 1927-28 season, with Iraklis Thessaloniki being the winner.
