Panagiotis Tuntas assumes the position of artistic director of the Branch of the German ODEON in Greece

In 1924, Panagiotis Tuntas (1886 – 1942) became the Branch of the German ODEON's artistic director in Greece. As of 1931, he became the director of COLUMBIA. Until 1934 he composed mainly for instruments connected with Asia Minor, and later, he wrote for bouzouki and baglama. He discovered and promoted many singers who marked the rebetiko song, such as Stelakis Perpiniadis, Rosa Eskenazi, Rita Abatzi, Antonis Diamantidis (Dalgas), Kostas Nouros, Kostas Roukounas, etc.
