On a Saturday, some 28 clubs meet at the premises of the Pan-Hellenic GS and come into an agreement. On the following Sunday, a Conference convenes at the Parnassos Literary Society. The clubs decide to found SEAGS, later named SEGAS. On the same day, they vote for the statutes of the most historic Greek Federation. Initially, it includes many sports, at first mainly individual and later team sports, such as basketball and volleyball. SEGAS launched the Balkan and Mediterranean Games.
