Inauguration of the stadium of Rizoupoli

The stadium's inauguration took place in front of 10,000 fans, during a symbolic game between the Mixed team of refugee clubs (Apollo, Panionios, AEK) and the "natives" (PAO, OSFP). The area next to Columbia's record factory was alloted to Apollo of Smyrna two years earlier, in 1946, when the railroad company expropriated the stadium in Roof. The stadium will gradually expand to a capacity of 14,200 seats and will be named "Giorgos Kamaras" in memory of one of the team's top players.
