Historic victory of Olympiacos against Pele's team

Olympiacos beats Santos, the world's top team, 2-1, at the Alexandras Avenue stadium (in front of 25000 fans). The ticket price rises protests since it was set at 35 drachmas, three times the ten drachmas of a regular ticket at the time.  The goals were scored as follows: in the 10th minute, Poseidonas scores 1-0 with an assist from Sideris. In the 43rd minute, Sourounis, shooting from 25-meters, scores 2-0. Zito scored for Santos in the 50th minute, with a direct foul, and after the ball changes course because of Stefanakos. Savvas Theodoridis and Costas Polychroniou play a fantastic game.
