Inauguration of the 1500-seat indoor stadium on Alexandras Avenue

The home ground of Panathinaikos is the first indoor stadium in Greece. The first match is between PAO's teenage team against Milon, although the roof "leaks" from the rain that falls during the game. Tasos Stefanou, later the general leader of the basketball team, participates in the game. Stefanou, a few months later, is in the adjacent cinema "Argentina," watching Fritz Lang's film "Tomb of the Indian." While watching the Indian descending the steps into the tomb, he yells, "Hey, this looks like our stadium," giving the covered stadium its nickname.
