Ajax - Panathinaikos 2-0 at the Champions League final

This is the greatest success of Greek football at a collective level.  The "greens" of "the galloping colonel" Ferenc Puskas play at the impressive Wembley Stadium. There are 25,000 Greeks among 110,000 spectators. Panathinaikos was defeated by the rising superpower, Ajax, with a goal by Van Dyke in the 8th minute and Kapsi's own goal in the 83rd minute.
