World record in the javelin

Sofia Sakorafa breaks the world record in javelin (72,40m held by Tiina Lillak from Finland) with 74,20m in Chania. In the absence of a scale, a game official transports the javelin to Chania's maternity hospital to weight it and confirm the record. Sophia Sakorafa will hold the world record for about nine months, Lillak claims it back in June 6, 1983, in Tampere with 74.76m.
