"The Cypriot songwriter, one of the most important of the "entechno" folk song, dies at age 45. His musical studies began at the age of seven in Alexandria. His first sound recording came in 1962 at Phillips, with the help of Mimis Plessas, with "Song of the Road," poetry by Lorca, Greek interpretation by Nikos Gatsos, and performed by Giorgos Moutsios. In April of the same year, he became a founding member and vice-president of the Association of Friends of Greek Music (SFEM), aiming to support the work of Mikis Theodorakis. Christos Leontis, Giannis Markopoulos, Dionysis Savvopoulos, Maria Farantouri, Notis Mavroudis, Fontas Ladis, Manos Eleftheriou, etc., were also added later.
