Tinia: The first official sporting event in Greece

"Tinia" took place on the 15^th of August, following the decision of the IOC (June 1894, Paris) "Reflections on and Propagation of the Principles of Amateurism and the revival of the Olympic Games." It's the first... Test Event before the first Olympic Games. New international sports regulations are implemented. Medals (silver and bronze) are given and and a starting pistol is fired at the start of track and field races.
