Establishment of Special Olympics Hellas

Guided by Giorgos Papandreou, Antonis Samaras, Andreas Potamianos, Spyros Metaxas, Otto Simitsek, and other distinguished individuals, Greece becomes a member of the world's largest sports event for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This event offers the opportunity to 5 million athletes worldwide to train and participate in the games.
